Your Broadcast Perspective

Page history last edited by Rachel Ashbrook 10 years, 2 months ago

Each of you is an individual and when you are creating your videos for the website you want to be certain that you clearly communicate that. As a teacher I know that when I post videos I will need to be professional and speaking from the perspective of a teacher of NEHS. You all have your own unique perspectives: different grade level representative, athlete, artist, musical, the hard working student, the lazy but likeable student, and so forth and so on. When you create your posts be certain that your personality shows through.

You can also chose to report news about the school in the following ways:

-as a straight forward news reporter

-as a columnist (ex. advice column, review column and/or critic, humorist)

-as a talk show host (focusing on interviews and entertainment)

It will be up to you to develop your own persona. It is most important to be authentic, not something you think will be entertaining.

I feel that my perspective would be along the lines of a dry humorist... taking stories that are good and bad and lightening them up so that students can have a laugh while also being informed on whats happening.

I believe that I would be a personable but critical columnist, applying my critique as well as personal opinions on subjects while keeping it as neutral (unbiased) as possible.

I think that I would focus more on interviews and entertainment, but put in some of my personal opinions and discuss content with others. I would present information in a way that is easier for listeners to take in.

I think that I would be a critic or an advice columnist
