Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year at North East High School.

My name is Mrs. Ashbrook and I teach Honors 10 and 12, Mythology, and Yearbook. This site will serve several purposes throughout the school year. Each class has its own individual site. This individual page will have images, information, and videos posted that can be used for studying for tests, creating projects, and writing essays. There is also a resource page. It has resources to help with grammar, citations, novels, and other course relevant information. Students will also be engaged in participating in the creation of this website and will create their own page that will be used for the submission of papers and projects.

If you have any questions please direct them to my email:  rasashbrook@ccps.org

Description of the site

Mythology

This course is based on a study of ancient and modern Mythology. It requires rigorous note taking and memorization of specific information. A strong grasp of Mythology will help students as they head towards college where, in their literature and history courses, they will be expected to know and understand Mythological allusions and references. Major and Minor Projects are listed on the site.

10th grade Honors

The Honors English 10 course is about exploring the interactions and ideas of culture in a variety of forms. The difference between an Honors and a Regular course is determined when examining not only the amount of reading or writing but in the level of analysis shown in the reading and writing completed by the students. The goal of this course is to prepare 10th graders for AP level courses in the 11th and 12th grade.
